Port distances and recommended timing
Approximate driving times in normal traffic: Athens Airport to Piraeus Port about 45 to 60 minutes, Athens Airport to Rafina Port about 15 to 20 minutes and Athens Airport to Lavrio Port about 35 to 45 minutes. From central Athens, Piraeus is around 25 to 40 minutes depending on traffic. For ferry departures we recommend arriving at least 45 to 60 minutes before sailing, and earlier for cruise embarkation, so pickup times are planned with that margin included.
